OUR COUNTRY NEEDS NEW BUILDINGS WITH SUFFICIENT EARTHQUAKE RESISTANCE AND COMPLIED WITH EARTHQUAKE REGULATIONS, AT THE SAME TIME THE NEED FOR STEEL BUILDINGS.
There is no raw material problem in Turkey, and there are well-equipped, qualified steel construction companies that will produce, design and implement structural steel with high technology opportunities. However, for a country like Turkey that is constantly under the risk of earthquakes, in order for the advantage of steel buildings to be understood and their application to be widespread, steel housing and office buildings should become widespread and familiarized in the society, academic studies should be increased in order to develop design standards, and continuous education and awareness-raising efforts should be intensified.
